Durban Beach otherwise called “The Golden Mile” stretches starting from uShaka Marine World until the very newly build Suncoast Casino along with Entertainment World to the northern beach. Durban Beach stretches by the side of the central town district of Durban city to it’s west.
Durban beach is a relaxation haven as well as one of the chief vacationer attractions in Durban city. The sea shore beach sand is golden , spotted by several piers along the way. Bask in the lukewarm sunshine while you sun tan and be content while swimming in the temperate waters of the Indian Ocean. Lifeguards and shark nets are always standard at most of Durban city’s seaside. Surfing is exceedingly popular and Durban beach is a world recognized Surfing territory. Expressly, The South Beach end is recognized amongst Durbanites as a trustworthy place for neophyte surfing. The impressive apartment buildings that dot the beach are vacationer hotels, residential apartments, beach front properties , several popular restaurants along with nightclubs. There are even remnants of some of Durban city’s older art-deco mode architecture which is still left from the building boom of the 1960s along with 1970s.
Durban Beach has always been a popular holiday territory for local South Africans from all over the country, however more often from Joburg especially during the Christmas holiday period. Locals flock to take delight in Durban city’s seaside along with many attractions, which include:
• The Ocean Way Promenade which meanders by the side of the sea shore to tempt more people to walk or cycle.
• The Suncoast Casino along with Entertainment World, a gigantic casino set of buildings with shops, restaurants, public entertainment along with a private sea beach.
• uShaka Marine World aquarium, dolphinarium, water park, Shopping centre along with restaurants with the largest shark tank in the world.
• Mini Town which has a miniature replica of the Durban city which even has a working miniature railway along with airport.
• Dairy sea shore, North sea shore, the Bay of Plenty along with Snake Park seaside are well-liked surfing seaside.
• Skateboarders, roller bladers along with BMX’ers can take advantage of the Skate Park in front of the Bay of Plenty.
• The only surfing museum in South Africa, Specializing in surf history along with cataloguing some of Durban city’s world recognized surfing history.
